Classes given at Academy of Photography:

Documentary photography.

A short description of classes given at Academy of Photography:

Classes aim at the preparation for independent photographer's work and put emphasis on students' activity. During academic year students make one own photographic cycle, in the subject consulted beforehand with the lecturer, as well as one subject concerning an issue chosen in class made by the entire group. Work progress is consulted in each class. Practices follow examples and examples' analysis. The main principle of the studio is a creative way of reasoning and approach to the issue of contemporary document. Search for an own personal area of interpretation and a genuine conscious photographic expression avoiding exclusively formal means. Bringing various artistic stances, resulting from a personal unique life experience, to students' attention. Introduction of contemporary currents of documentary photography. Photographers' preparation for independent work and for the realization of original documental cycles.
