1981 - 1983 – studies of history of art at Katolicki Uniwesytet Lubelski (Jan Paul II Catholic University of Lublin) 1983 - 1987 – Jagiellonian University 1987 – degree in medieval art history under the supervision of Prof. Lech Kalinowski

Publications, articles, books:

1990 - 2008 – work as a journalist and an art critic in Gazeta Wyborcza – branch in Kraków. Author of a few hundreds of articles, reviews and interviews published in Gazeta Wyborcza.

Other publications: 1994 - article about 14th century Italian fresco in the church in Niepołomice in Foliae Historiae Artium 2003 – text about Countess Karolina Lanckorońska in the volume Twarze (Faces) published by Znak Reviews and articles in Przekrój, Tygodnik Powszechny, and at the moment in monthly magazines: Art & Business, and Sztuka.pl.

Moderator of meetings with artists, politicians, and representatives of culture institutions organized among others by MCK or Historical Museum of the City of Kraków.

Awards:

2005 – bronze medal Zasłużony Kulturze – Gloria Artis,.

Activities outside Academy of Photography:

Member of Stowarzyszenie Historyków Sztuki (Association of Art Historians), Społeczny Komitet Odnowy Zabytków Krakowa (Social Association of Kraków’s Monuments Restoration), and Stowarzyszenie Dziennikarzy Polskich (Polish Journalists Association). At the moment she is working on the book (as a lead editor and a coauthor of texts) about the artistic Małopolska (Little Poland), which is being prepared by the marshal’s office.

Chosen issues from history of art, for example national art, universal art, mimicry in art, abstraction and figuration. Except for lectures illustrated with slides, classes are devoted also to the practice in museums, churches, galleries, and urban space.
